Biosphere 2
In July of 2007 the University of Arizona transitioned one of world’s most unique properties into a new facility dedicated to the research and understanding of global scientific issues. The University of Arizona assumed management of the Biosphere 2 facility established three scientific entities under the direction of separate advisory committees dedicated to achieving a range of research, education, and outreach goals. The Biosphere 2 continues to serve as a major regional attraction but now also serves as a laboratory for controlled studies, an arena for scientific discovery and discussion, and a far-reaching public education center. Godat Design served as an administrative team member helping define the organizational structure and naming of the new entities. The tagline "Where Science Lives" steered the generation of the facility's new branding, web site, collateral, signage, exhibit design, and advertising – all were created to support the relaunch of Biosphere 2 and to help the institution fulfill its redefined agenda.
