The US Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution provides assessment, mediation, and other related services to resolve environmental disputes involving federal agencies. As one of the federal government’s smallest agencies, this Tucson-based organization was tasked with differentiating its services from those offered by private and non-governmental alternative dispute resolution providers. Godat Design created a simple wordmark where the presentation of the name of the agency became a visual metaphor for the process of resolution. Color and typography standards further assist this budget-conscious organization maintain a professional image at all times.
