iPlant Collaborative
At its core, the iPlant Collaborative is a community-building enterprise with an ambitious five-year mission to develop a distributed, cyberinfrastructure-centered, international community of plant scientists and computing researchers. Through these efforts iPlant hopes to enable advances in both computational thinking and the grand challenges facing plant scientists worldwide. The iPlant identity developed by Godat Design is designed to engage iPlant’s diverse core audiences – computer scientists and plant biologists – with a graphic identifier built on geometries familiar to both. This crisp new mark evokes the organization’s collaborative convening power, technological vision and the emergent potential of plant science.
